I didn't meet her until the day she died. She was a pretty woman, I think. Definitely one I could see myself with, you know, if she had had more time.
She came into the coffee shop that day, late in the afternoon. I can't quite remember what she ordered, but it wasn't anything complicated. I like to think that maybe that was indicative of her personality. Uncomplicated. A simple person with simple tastes who took life day by day. Of course that could have been the complete opposite of her. I mean, she did jump off a bridge.
All I remember of her, really is the way her chocolate colored hair flowed down her back and she looked so intently at me with her blue eyes...or were they green? It was all so fleeting, I mean, she was only even in the shop for an hour. She sat in the corner to read the last chapters of the book she had on her. I could tell because the left side was full of pages and the right side was almost done with. Yeah, she sat there for a bit, I think. I didn't even notice when she left, she was so quiet. And it wasn't like I was watching her, she was just a customer, right?
I would have completely forgotten about her, to be honest, if I didn't see her face on the news that night. "Suicide Jumper Caught on Camera" was the headline the breaking news gave her. They wouldn't show the clip, of course, so they popped up a picture of her that looked like it was taken in 1998. No more recent photos were found, so I guess she didn't have a Facebook. Or friends or family.
It was so weird, though. She didn't look like the type that didn't have friends. I mean, she was clean and wore nice clothes. Well, nice-ish. I think. They didn't stand out or anything, so I figure she was normal. Her hair was normal, too. Not in that old photo, though. She had one of those crazy 90's teased-out updos. Is that all that people are going to remember her for?

One Last Embrace
I kissed the lips of death
Without due fear or precaution.
In return came a beckoning embrace
Both timeless and wordless.
We stood clenched
As vines to oaken branches.
I could feel in labored breaths and
Subtle flexes of hidden muscle
That this would not be the last of
These enveloping, omen-soaked hugs.
He was shadow,
Inanimately swallowed by space.
Glimpses of future tense.
Filled in as blue lines heaved and crested,
Went flat and remained so.
It was the paved-straight path to infinity.

Names
Why did we have to name it?
Couldn't we just leave it as it was,
Like when we just called it 'what we have'?
It was special without any rules, without any tags,
But we had to call it something, we had to call it love...

i'd do anything to be with you
i cannot eat my cereal because my tears, too thick,
are ruining the flavour... with a "u", because all i want is...
you are perfect for me. okay ? motherfucking perfect.
my missing piece, my truelove, the one i'd do anything
for. now i am listening to all the songs that make me
think of you, just trying to hold on. i know you think
that i deserve better, but no... i don't even deserve you.
i don't deserve your heart. but here, take mine anyway.
if i can't have you, i don't want anyone. i would feel like
i were cheating.
please don't tell me it's not my fault.
i don't want to sounds obsessed, but
i would rather have no life th
